Assessment and diagnosis of ADHD and autism: a guide to the process

There has been a huge rise in awareness of neurodivergence over recent years. If you are working as a therapist, you might wonder whether a client is neurodivergent, and if so whether they would benefit from a formal assessment; or you might suspect that you are neurodivergent yourself, and want to know more about whether to pursue a formal diagnosis.

This workshop will talk you through some of the issues you might want to consider, around whether or not to go for an assessment, what your options might be, and what the alternatives are. We will also look at how to prepare practically and emotionally for an assessment, and how you or your client might be impacted by getting or not getting a diagnosis.
